Muscle clean w/ empty barbell (hit all 7 positions!) Ring dips
2. Technique review: 10 positions of the Turkish get-up
3. EMOM 12
2 Turkish get-ups
4. Rest 3 minutes
5. EMOM 12
even minutes: 15 wallballs
odd minutes: 30 double unders (or 40 seconds of practice)
LIII: 30/20 lbs wallballs LII: 20/14 lbs wallballs LI: practice TGUs for 12 minutes. Then: 4 rounds NFT of 10 DB thrusters and 40 seconds double under practice.
6. Mobilizations for December
"Food, for me, was a comfort. I stopped weighing myself when the scale reached 250 pounds. I was defeated and had no idea what to do or where to turn. I made small changes to my diet by cutting out soda and excessive sweets and saw weight finally coming off. I lost 50 pounds over the course of three years on just diet alone but I craved something more. I began working out at a local $10 a month gym and spent many hours on the elliptical. I was terrified of the free weights and deemed them just for people who wanted to be professional body builders.
I never, in a million years, would have thought that I would set foot in a CrossFit gym. That's when I met Pioneer Valley CrossFit.
I soon realized that this was more than a gym, it was a community.
I received more support at Pioneer Valley CrossFit for my journey than any other place I have been before. I have re-learned how to eat. I weigh less than I did in high school.
I exercise and challenge myself on a daily basis. I lift weights. I run races. I have become the person I dreamed about so many years ago.
While my journey isn’t over, I look forward to seeing what I can achieve."
