Perrin owns Pioneer Valley CrossFit with his wife, Liz Greene, and serves as the CEO and Coach in both Hadley and Northampton. Perrin's relationship with CrossFit began in 2007 after he took a class with a friend in California. The group structure, support, and healthy competition that CrossFit offered immediately resonated with him. It was also a total blast! He became interested in the potential to be a part of an environment that allowed for personal growth and positive transformation through the physical discipline that CrossFit demands. Pioneer Valley CrossFit has grown out of a collective vision of community involvement and excellence in movement. Perrin holds numerous CrossFit certifications and has spent many years studying aboriginal survival arts. One of the things he appreciates most about CrossFit is that it keeps him young enough to enjoy his interests of bow hunting, fly fishing, surfing, oil painting, primitive survival skills, and being a Dad.

She also believes that an organized body leads to an organized mind; which in turn, has life-long effects on our overall health and wellness. “CrossFit changes the trajectory of lives. Training can avert injury and pain from our experience and can invite health and a freedom of moving in the world as human beings were meant to move.” She is passionate about helping pregnant CrossFitters. Being a new mom herself, Liz is honored to raise Jack in the warmth of the PVCF community, and to help others do the same.

As an ER doctor for over thirty years, Coach Mike has honed his skills of observation to a fine point, making him uniquely qualified as a coach. As a Crossfit L1 trainer and OPEX trained, his enthusiasm is infectious. Coach Mike describes the evolution of his passion for fitness and for Masters Athletes in particular: “I have sutured lacerations, reduced fractures, saved lives and held the hands of the dying. Yet, I am troubled by those I cannot help in the ER - desk-bound, addicted to convenience food and sugar, over fat, anxious, in chronic pain, with illnesses which medicine alone won’t heal. But, they can be well. Fitness, lifestyle and nutrition training have given me the prescription. That is why I became a coach, that is why I love to coach and that is why I am so grateful to PVCF for their vision and commitment to fitness.” Together with Coach Ayn, Mike created our Masters Program for anyone 40-100 years old; it is focused on those who have been injured, suffer from lifestyle related illness or just want to stay fit as they age. Email him below to find out what the buzz is all about!
