PVCF Coaching Development Program

Are you interested in becoming a Pioneer Valley CrossFit Coach? We are now offering a 12 week intensive coaching development program where you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best!

OVERVIEW: At Pioneer Valley CrossFit, we identify a qualified coach as someone who puts our clients first, is caring, patient, trustworthy and demonstrates positive leadership skills in our community. We also will expect a thorough knowledge of the ‘By The Numbers’ training as demonstrated in the book “By the Numbers” by Sean Manseau. A qualified coach should be able to teach, see and correct movements with a relentless and positive attitude, at the same time being caring and understanding of client’s needs.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • 12 Week Coach development training (April-June 2019)

  • Free to Current PVCF Members who are SERIOUS about a part-time or full-time career in Coaching. Non-Members can apply, we will require a partial membership for the duration of the program.

  • Studying of CFL1, CFL2 Handbook material and By The Numbers are required.

  • Registration for an upcoming CFL1 seminar required by Week 9 of Program (May 27th)

  • Program graduates will be considered for future Part-time or Full-time employment positions at PVCF.

  • Attend 1 of 2 offered training times each week (Tuesdays at 5:30pm and Saturday at 11:30am) for 12 weeks.

  • Please note that priority for spots in the program are given to individuals who want to become part of our Pioneer Valley CrossFit staff.

  • Space in the PVCF Coaching Development program is limited.

  • Learn from professional coaches and practice practical coaching skills in a cohort of your peers.

  • Requirements include shadowing/backing classes as well as leading your own classes during the program.
